A unique island with enchanting characteristics, Skiathos offers fabulous infinite charm throughout the island and its 60 beautiful beaches. Home to many monasteries, fortifications and churches including the Monastery of the Annunciation where the first Greek national flag was designed, woven and flown. We recommend Skiathos Town, in a bay scattered with many small unique inlets. The town is built up of a lively waterfront with bustling cafes and restaurants. Away from the waterfront you will find the narrow winding streets and traditional white washed houses making their way through the picturesque traditional part of the town. Skiathos Town and the church of Agios Nikolaos also featured in the film Mamma Mia. See where Sophie posted the letters to Sam, Bill and Harry inviting them to the wedding. The Old Port is also featured, where Sam, Bill and Harry meet for the first time on their way to the fictional island of Kalokairi.
